Dismas Charities Charleston Interns Continuing Education

The Charleston (WV) facility maintains a strong student internship program with the Kanawha Valley Community Technical College. From left are Intern Lindsay Prowse, Director Jim Sands, and Intern Tiffany Russell. Both recently received their Associate Degree in Community Behavioral Health Technology and are pursuing their bachelor’s degrees.

Including the below two, other large placards graced the entry hall to the 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Marriot Louisville East Hotel. Other themes included Accountability, Dignity, Diversity, Healing, Integrity, and Stewardship. How Dismas got its name and the company logo were also depicted.

Louisville Mayor, Councilwoman Honor Dismas Charities 50 Years Of Service To The Community

To recognize Dismas’ service to the community and its yearlong celebration of 50 years of Healing the Human Spirit, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer and Metro Councilwoman Marianne Butler presented Dismas with Proclamations declaring August 23, 2014 as Dismas Charities 50th Anniversary Celebration Day which denoted the agency’s many contributions to the city.
