Someone Cares of Atlanta, an early detection intervention clinic, offered free HIV testing to 25 residents at the Atlanta facility. Someone Cares provides HIV counseling, testing, and referrals, STD screening and treatment, and assistance for the homeless. Residents were encouraged to complete the free confidential test, and were provided with information about HIV/AIDS along with the importance of safe sex and contraceptives. Staff volunteered and participated in the free testing.
