Former Atlanta resident Brandi Davis visited the facility and spoke to the Women’s Group about her struggles and how she was able to succeed. Davis gave each attendee a copy of her book that details the difficulty African American women face in the penal system. She also gave the women hygiene items and Christmas gifts for their children. Davis (fourth from left, standing) has also been featured on the Georgia-based reality show Iyanla: Fix My Life. Refreshments were served.
