Dismas Charities IT’s Lanning Shaves Head For Cancer Research Fundraiser

On May 18, IT Network Administrator Allen Lanning (right) took a bold stand to raise funds for cancer research by having his head shaved in memory “of all the members of the Everett H. Lanning family lost to cancer in my lifetime.” Everett H. Lanning is the grandfather of Allen. He, along with three other members of Allen’s family, have died of the disease since he was 16. Chili’s Clip for Kids, as the May initiative was called, challenged participants to raise funds in return for shaving, trimming or clipping their hair in solidarity with kids fighting cancer at Kosair Children’s Hospital.
