Before Dismas opens a new federal facility, the Bureau of Prisons completes a Pre-Occupancy Inspection. To insure every facet of the program meets BOP standards – and the Dismas Standard of Excellence – Dismas assembles a Start-Up Team on site. This group of seasoned veterans insures that everything from having the electricity turned on to cleaning up construction dust is checked off the list in order to provide a welcominghomelike atmosphere which is important to support our healing mission. The Team for the Manchester (KY) facility, which opened February 1, included (from left standing) Executive Vice President Jan M. Kempf, Maintenance Staffer Mark Davis, Regional Vice Presidents Faith Good and Joseph Theriot, Certified Fire Inspector Tony Davenport, and President/CEO Raymond J. Weis.
