Dismas Charities Portland Residents Help Build Labyrinth

In early September, 10 Portland (KY) residents assisted with a project to transform a vacant Louisville lot into a permanent labyrinth/peaceful walking path for community use. The labyrinth path’s border will feature pavers painted by community members with inspirational messages of hope, peace, and good will. The labyrinth is being constructed from a grant awarded to the West Louisville Women’s Coalition from the city’s Lots of Possibilities Competition. The coalition is also raising additional funds to complete the project. Dismas residents helped dig trenches, lay landscaping cloth and spread sand. The coalition’s mission is to create and sustain artistic, peaceful spaces in West Louisville.
