On this Labor Day, Dismas Charities wants to personally recognize the sacrifices and professional work ethic of its more than 800 employees across the nation. The holiday, celebrated on the first Monday in September, was created in the 19th century as trade union and labor movements grew. It was originally intended that the day be filled with a street parade to allow the public to appreciate the work of the trade and labor organizations and to honor the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws and well-being of the country. Dismas certainly recognizes each of those attributes and joins with our nation in recognizing these outstanding citizens.
Happy Labor Day!!
