U.S. Attorney Edward J. Tarver And Dismas Charities Savannah Form Partnership

On Wednesday November 19, 2014 US Attorney Edward J. Tarver, as well as Greg Gilluly, Re-Entry Coordinator for the US Attorney’s Office and Dan Drake Community Liaison of the US Attorney’s Office visited Dismas Charities Savannah.  President Barack Obama nominated Tarver as United States Attorney, Southern District of Georgia, on September 17, 2009.  Tarver and colleagues visit to Dismas Charities Savannah resulted in a new partnership.  US Attorney Tarver requested the assistance of Director Katina Wheeler, as well as the staff of Dismas Charities Savannah, in improving reentry services in the Southern District of Georgia.  US Attorney Tarver hopes to tackle issues such as the inability of offenders to obtain adequate employment following their release from prison.   Dismas Charities Savannah and US Attorney Tarver will meet at a later date to discuss future endeavors of the newly formed partnership.
