Students from an addictions counseling class at Bridge Valley Community & Technical College recently toured the Charleston (WV) facility to explore the possibility of internships and help them determine if they might want to pursue a career in re-entry. According to Director Jim Sands his facility has hired seven interns from the college since 2011. From left (front row) are students Whitney Butler, Maurice Rollins Jr., his father, Maurice Sr., Lavina Knipp, Professor Ashley Lewis, and Charleston Counselor Megan Shirk. Back row from left are students Fred Westfall, Sarah Briggs, Amber Haynes, Ernie Paul, Darron Parks, Kevin Jones, and Charleston Counselor Renae Bailey, a graduate of the college.
