Dismas Charities St. Ann Statue Placed In Memory

In memory of her support and friendship, St. Ann Catholic Church erected a statue of St. Ann in the Gladys Scott Memorial Garden at the Atlanta facility.  Scott, a Dismas Associate Vice President, died in 2012.

Dismas Charities Diersen Facility holds “80s Day”

To foster unity and sisterhood among the women in Diersen’s SAP program, the clients put together a “unity week” where clients dressed in wardrobe popular during a certain period. The first event was an “80’s Day”.

New Dismas Charities Dania Beach Assistant Director Named

Ivonne Cavanaugh has been hired as the new Assistant Director for the Dania Beach, Florida facility. Cavanaugh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration of Public Safety Management from Miami Dade College. She has served the past eight years as director of a re-entry program in Miami, Florida.

Dismas Charities Portland Facility (Louisville, KY)

Staff and residents helped set up, clean up and take down each day of the four-day annual Portland Family Reunion festival.  The event is an opportunity to draw attention to the often overlooked neighborhood, reconnect with family and friends and act as a fundraiser for various neighborhood charities.

Brian King Added to Dismas Charities IT Staff

Brian King has been hired by Corporate Office as an IT Specialist. He joins Manager Chris Scharfenberger, Network Administrator Allen Lanning, and Software Developer Jody Bell.
