Rene Sanchez (standing), a representative from the Tucson Indian Center, whose goal is to promote the self-sufficiency of the American Indian people through education, employment resources and referral, spoke at the Tucson facility. According to Director Gabi Whaley, the Indian Center believes that the basic needs of American Indian people and families must be met so they can pursue a healthy quality of life. They offer an array of services that are geared primarily to employment, education/training, and emergency assistance.
