Dismas Charities Dania Beach staff recently took part in the Human Trafficking: A Global Problem event designed to inform the community and increase the awareness of the issue. “As we learned during this event, South Florida is the third-busiest area for sex trafficking in the United States and Broward County is number one,” Director Ivonne Cavanaugh said. Thirty people attended the event which included presentations and a panel discussion. Two of the participants were Dania Beach Volunteers Pastor Alan and Dr. Cheryl White-Holtz.
