In an effort to help with fundraising for a local church, eight Orlando (FL) residents volunteered their time to help sort clothes for a yard sale and wash cars. Iglesia Misionera Casa de Oracion’s minister, Joseph Rivera has been involved with our center since it opened in 2007 and provides transportation to residents wishing to attend services every Sunday. In addition to their regular attendance, some of our female residents sing in the choir. Pastor Rivera, who has been involved in prison ministry for many years, is a regular attendee at our Community Relations Board meetings and has also provided barbers for the residents.
