Dismas Charities Atlanta Lights The Night; Raises $400 For Charity

In early October, the Atlanta staff participated in the Light the Night Walk, a fundraising campaign benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society funding of research to find blood cancer cures. Thousands of participants came together and lighted the sky with red lanterns symbolizing support for leukemia and lymphoma, yellow lanterns symbolizing individuals that have family members that have fought, are fighting or lost their lives to the diseases, and white lanterns symbolizing those that have survived. Through fundraising efforts, the Atlanta staff raised a $400 donation for the cause. Atlanta participants included Counselors McKenzie Mondesir, Ashley Thompson, Larry Boykins, Garvi McGee, Jessica Mitchen, Employment Specialist Kadizjah White, Assistant Director Ronisha Pratt, Administrative Assistant Shirley Mott, and McGee’s daughter, Danielle.
