To bring awareness to a brutal, complex and widespread crime of human trafficking, over 50 staff, residents and members of the Community Relations Board from Atlanta recently participated in their third Annual Human Trafficking Walk. According to Director Stephen Ricks, Atlanta is one of the nation’s largest hubs for human trafficking with most victims being 12 to 14-year old females. Participants in the 1.5 mile walk carried banners and handed out brochures to passersby and other onlookers. The brochures included information on human trafficking identification and places that provide assistance to victims.
