Staff and residents from the Dismas Charities Macon Georgia facility turned out in force in mid-April to continue their work at keeping their street clean of litter. The facility joined the city’s beautification project last year in cleaning Second Street from Cotton Avenue to Eisenhower Parkway. The program, known as Adopt-A-Spot, involves local, state and federal agencies, private industry and community groups. Because April is Second Chance Month, the Dismas staff chose it as their day to clean the area, echoing the Dismas belief that everyone deserves a second chance.
