In early August, staff from the Savannah (GA) program participated in National Night Out, an event where communities come together to raise awareness, take a stance on crime, and encourage citizens to engage in community action to deter criminal activity.  Sponsored by Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Savannah Impact Program (SIP), our staff distributed cotton candy to the attendees and also provided information on Dismas. Other agencies attending included the Georgia Department of Corrections, Board of Pardons and Parole, Chatham County Juvenile Court, the local fire department and the Department of Juvenile Justice.
