U.S. Congressman Adrian Smith (R-Nebraska) visited the Sioux City facility October 16 to become more familiar with the program. “While touring the center he asked many very specific questions related to how we assist our residents, the range of offenses of our residents, length of stay, (and) services provided,” said Director Robyn Deacon who added that the Representative said he was a “firm believer in redemption” and appreciates the services Dismas provides. On hand for the visit were SUSPO Rick Niles of Northern Iowa, SUSPO Jeff Anthens of Nebraska, USPO Aaron Kurtenbach of Nebraska, Community Relations Board member Jim Anderson, and Dismas Vice President of Business Development Steve Vice.
