Dismas Charities Manchester Residents Serve Groceries To The Needy

Residents from the Manchester program volunteered their time recently at the Church of God Worship Center to help fill the grocery carts for nearly 500 local needy families from the Clay County area. Each attendee received prepared boxes of drinks, canned foods, fresh produce, non-perishable items and detergent. In addition to assembling the items, the Dismas representatives helped carry the groceries to the attendee’s cars. “It is a rewarding feeling knowing that we got to help people when we have done so much bad in our lives,” said Resident Timothy Hall. “It makes you feel like a better person when you help people.” Above needy residents wait for their name to be called at the monthly event.
