Twelve St. Patrick residents participated in Mayor Greg Fischer’s Clean Lou neighborhood event, designed to engage residents, volunteers, non-profits, corporate sponsors and city employees in cleaning up and beautifying about 50 miles of the city’s alleys and streets in six high crime neighborhoods. The Dismas contingent canvassed both sides of 13th Street to 15th, 15th to Broadway, Broadway to 12th and all the alleys and side streets in-between. Residents estimate they picked up over 150 bags of trash, a five gallon bucket of broken glass, and drug paraphernalia. Upon completion of the project all neighborhood teams met at the Baxter Community Center for a picnic lunch, music and socializing. Mayor Fischer (far left) personally thanked our team for their hard work and being responsible stewards of our neighborhood. Shown with the Mayor are Residents John McCoy, James Reynolds, Haile Moore, Thomas Hampton, Billy Driskill, Adam Frye, Joshua Logsdon, Kevin Ruholl, John Dalton, and Kristopher Rager. Not shown are Michael Brown and Scotty Lewis.
