Opiate Overdose Training Held

6-1-2016

When the invitation came out to learn how to use a Naloxone for Opiate Overdose kit, the first one in line from Dismas Charities was none other than Presi-dent/CEO Ray Weis. After reading about the class in the day’s paper, Weis was there prior to the class starting time and one of the first to complete it. Other Dismas representatives attending were Regional Vice President Joseph Theriot, Portland Director Robert Lanning and St. Ann Director Mark Meredith. The training, held at the Louisville Metro Health and Wellness Department, was organized by the Kentucky Harm and Reduction Coalition. A brochure showed how to recognize an over-dose, how to administer the drug, and other action to be taken.
