Dismas Charities continued its enthusiastic support for education in early January with the donation of 30 Dell brand servers to Louisville’s Fern Creek High School. “With much useful life still left in them, the decision was made to donate the servers to the school’s computer department led by Scott Horan (at left standing),” said Dismas Vice President of Information Technology Chris Scharfenberger (second from left). The donation, valued at over $60,000, is the third such donation to public schools in the community, said Dismas Charities President/CEO Ray Weis, adding that “It is the Dismas Charities mission to not only help the residents we serve but to ‘share our share’ with the communities in which we live.” The servers will be used at Fern Creek and other high schools in Jefferson County to help teach students server hardware and programming development.
