Dismas Charities Kearney Takes “Good Cheer” Baskets To Hospital

In mid-April, the Kearney program donated goodies in Easter baskets to the children in the Pediatric Unit of Good Samaritan Hospital. The gifts consisted of candy, activity books, stuffed animals, games, and stickers. Making the presentation to a member of the nursing staff is Kearney Resident Monitor Skylar Gott (right) who, along with Cook Peggy Benson, assembled the baskets and took the donations to the hospital in the hopes of spreading good cheer. “Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to be a part of the traditional Easter celebrations,” said Director Jack Morgan. “We felt that we could bring some Easter fun to the kids at Good Samaritan Hospital that weren’t able to attend the festivities.”
