The Dismas Charities Las Cruces facility held a luncheon and presented appreciation plaques to the top three employers who hire its residents. Empereon Marketing call center, The Shed restaurant, and Olam Spices & Vegetables were the agencies spotlighted. Juan Diaz, Employment Services Coordinator for the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions, spoke to the current and new employers on the benefits of hiring felons. The Shed also presented Las Cruces with a check for $369 toward an August backto-school backpack distribution event in which the Dismas and the Las Cruces Gospel Rescue Mission will participate.
