Thirty-five managers from Dismas’ federal facilities and Corporate attended
the Bureau of Prisons Residential Re-entry 2015 National Contractor’s
Training August 26-27 in Millington, Tennessee. Attendees included over
200 contractors and BOP staff as well. Topics included legal issues, home
confinement, medication, mental health and substance abuse cases, ethics,
discipline, escapes and significant incidents, contracting, contract monitoring,
and PREA.
Dismas Staff Tour Memphis During BOP Conference
Prior to the BOP Training Conference in Millington, TN, Memphis Director James
Williams and Assistant Director Eric Powell hosted tours of their facility for Regional
Vice President Andrea Johnson and four Dismas Directors: Corpus Christi’s Mike
Corona, Tucson’s Daniel Beck, Lubbock’s Ramona Gayle, and Robyn Deacon from
Sioux City.
