This scene is nothing new in the midwest, northwest and even some southern climates where Dismas has a presence. But when it happens in Las Cruces, New Mexico, it becomes news. To enjoy the white powder, Director Sam Campos and Assistant Director Irma Smith created a snowman following a recent, and obviously unexpected, morning snow storm that dumped up to five inches of snow on the area. “I know snow is common in the east, but weather like this is considered severe for the southwest,” said Campos, who noted that all employees were still on time for work.
