Housing Tops Discussion List At Latest Dismas Charities Greensboro Community Relations Board Meeting

The topic of housing for residents was discussed during the July Community Relations Board Meeting in Greensboro.  On hand for the discussion were Chief U.S. Probation Officer (CUSPO) Melissa Alexander, Bureau of Prisons Contract Oversight Specialist Gary Moore, U.S. Probation Officers Michael Casey and Kara Stone, ITT Tech and Dismas Volunteer Theresa Grant, and the Greensboro program Director Dale Cauble, Employment Specialist Sarah Jones, Social Services Coordinator Sharon Bell, and Counselor Elizabeth Gainey. Cauble noted that “It remains one of the goals of Dismas Greensboro to not release a resident to a homeless shelter,” noting that finding housing for some residents can be very difficult especially considering some residents release to neighboring Virginia.
