In late July, Memphis staff and residents were treated to a karaoke night. Staff helping with the musical diversion were Social Services Coordinator Markia Bearden as the emcee, Assistant Director Eric Powell as videographer and mixologist, and Resident Monitors Tiffany Sain, Jacqueline Macklin, and Loretha Knox serving refreshments. Director James Williams’ wife of 20 years also got into the fun with him “swooning” her with Luther Vandross’s “If This World Was Mine”. Bearden, Knox, and Cook Annette Martin also performed. “This was the first time that the facility had sponsored a Karaoke event and based on all the positive good vibes and comments by the residents and staff, it will not be the last,” Williams said. Resident winners include (from left) Danny Hall, Felicia Wilson, Caldra Williford, and Christopher Everette.
