Mike Corona (center), son of Dismas Charities Corpus Christi Director Mike Corona and co-owner of the Mockingbird Restaurant in Nashville, held a special dinner to help his father raise money for the American Diabetes Association. The $1,300 raised from the event will be added to that from other fundraisers and what will be contributed from an annual fishing tournament to be held in early August by the Corpus Christi program. Attendees paid $70 per person to attend the dinner and meet Chef Maneet Chauhan (right), a Judge on the popular Food Network program Chopped and Mockingbird’s Chef and co-owner Brian Riggenbach (left). “This has truly been a family effort in trying to raise money for such a worthy cause,” said the elder Corona.
