The El Paso internship program currently includes students from the University of Texas at El Paso social work program, both BSW and MSW, Webster’s University masters in counseling students, and the University of Southern California master social work program. The students conduct psychosocial assessments, group sessions to include the Transition Skills groups and individual case management in collaboration with the center’s counselors. Their field instructor former Director of the El Paso facility and former Vice President of Training is Hector Zamora who has supervised the program since its inception.
