El Paso (TX) intern named to D.C. post

University of Texas at El Paso MSW student intern Sara Polk (second from left), has been selected for a public policy fellowship program in Washington, D.C. The Archer Center’s Graduate Program in Public Policy, established by the University of Texas System, brings graduate students studying policy and politics to Washington to learn about public service and the federal government. Starting in May, Polk will spend 12 weeks in the nation’s capital learning about policy, politics and public service. She will work as an intern on Capitol Hill, in the Executive Branch of government or at another Washington governmental or non-governmental organization. She began her MSW field internship at the El Paso center in August 2013.
