Dismas Charities West Virginia Directors Attend “High in Plain Sight” Training

Charleston Director Jim Sands and Clarksburg Director Emily Gillispie attended “High in Plain Sight” training, designed to show how drug paraphernalia, drug products, and drug trends are “hiding” and can be hidden where one would not normally see them, i.e. pockets in hats, hoodies and shirts, and photos and logos on shirts that look normal but tell others of the wearer’s involvement in the drug culture. Jermaine Galloway, who provided the training, also discussed easily obtained products that can be concealed, and when, how and where to look for contraband. Galloway is a nationally-recognized expert on alcohol and drug abuse having spent 20 years in law enforcement. From left are Sands, Galloway and Gillispie.
