Journey of Transformation: Albuquerque Success Story

Published: February 10, 2026 Updated: February 10, 2026

In December, Diersen Charities Albuquerque (DCA) Director Mitchell Anderson provided a tour of the Residential Reentry Center (RRC) to Kevin Brooks and Jesse Andrade, trainers with Goodwill's Clean Tech Solar Training Program. After the tour, Brooks sent Director Anderson an upcoming Goodwill feature article regarding former DCA client D. Archibeque, who completed the solar training program while a client of DCA earlier in the year.

Mr. Archibeque is recognized as a Goodwill Success Story. He grew up in the Chama, New Mexico area and was incarcerated for several years. Upon his release, he was referred for reentry. Early on, Archibeque had no employment, car nor steady income. But soon he developed a strong resume, practiced interview skills, received professional clothing, and learned about Goodwill's Solar Installer Training Program, where he excelled. His talent was quickly recognized by Affordable Solar, which hired him upon graduation. Now living independently, Mr. Archibeque's journey serves as a compelling example of Goodwill's impact in helping New Mexicans rebuild their lives and achieve lasting success.
