In February, Team DCK and their clients united to help “fill in the cracks” and raise awareness about human trafficking in honor of the Red Sand Project. The Red Sand Project is a participatory artwork creation that uses sidewalk installations to raise awareness about human trafficking, modern slavery, and exploitation. Participants were invited to fill sidewalk cracks around the facility with red sand, serving as a visual reminder of those often overlooked and vulnerable in our communities. Each individual received a bag of red sand to spread outside the center, helping to bring visibility to this crucial cause.
