Manchester Represents at the Mommy & Me Fair

Last Fall, the AdventHealth Manchester Mommy & Me Fair proved to be a resounding success, uniting mothers, expectant mothers, and community partners for a day focused on support and resources.

Dismas Manchester clients actively engaged with children and families throughout the fair, participating in activities that created a welcoming and supportive environment. In addition to fostering community spirit, clients were able to visit other booths and connect with organizations offering resources on childcare, child abuse prevention, and medical services for both mothers and children.

The event provided vital education and support to all attendees. For DCM clients, this was especially meaningful. By volunteering and interacting with the public, they had a chance to give back to the community, share their stories and contribute to a positive, family oriented event. These experiences help build confidence, practice communication, leadership skills, and feel empowered as active members of their community.
