St. Ann Client Recognition

In December, a St. Ann resident, Mr. John Roth, was presented a Dismas Challenge Coin by President/CEO Ellen Donnarumma and Director Mark Meredith. During Leadership Dismas team members were all given two Challenge Coins - one to keep and one to give away. Director Meredith proudly gave his additional Challenge Coin to Mr. Roth for his selfless act of rendering aid to another resident. On the evening of October 29, 2025, staff on duty were alerted of a medical emergency that involved multiple residents. As staff responded to the emergency, they came upon Mr. Roth who was administering CPR to another resident, who was non-responsive and not breathing. Mr. Roth also remained with the resident until emergency medical services arrived and took over life saving measures. In an SAP program, the residents live as a community, offering support and accountability to their fellow members. Director Meredith further shared that as a prior Emergency Medical Technician and member of this St. Ann community, Mr. Roth demonstrated both respect and dignity for his fellow man through his actions, of which these are also two of Dismas’ core values. As such, Mr. Roth is a very fitting recipient of the Dismas Charities, Inc. Challenge Coin.
